~ New Saturday Night Programme ~

As we commence the sacred months of Rajab and Sha’ban in welcoming Ramadan, let us prepare ourselves by focusing on our character and improving our knowledge through a light of clarity among the midst of post-modern confusion.  This light of knowledge is indeed a blessing, as narrated by Anas ibn Malik that the Prophet PBUH said, “O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Sha’ban blessed for us, and let us reach the month of Ramadan” (Musnad Al-Imam Ahmed).

In preparation for this, the Zawiya Sulukiya Institute invites the community to Saturday evening classes of Imam Al Qushayri’s magnum opus, Epistle of Sufism (Risala fi ilm at Tasawwuf) – the very first complete manual written in the science of Tasawwuf. This is an extremely rare opportunity to cover the entire 420 page text with explanations in English, as taught by a qualified Shaykh and guide, Shaykh Abdelhafid Al-Tlemceni (Abu Mouaiz). The weekly program also includes recitation of Sidi Ahmed Zarruq’s wadhifa after Maghrib, and communal recitation of Surat al-Mulk after Isha. This is followed by qasidas and a session of Q&A for the benefit of the wider community. Families are welcome to attend.
